IMMERSION HEATERS

Cooling towers operating in cold weather may require an immersion heater to maintain efficient operation. Towers that are not in operation during the winter may also require a heater to protect the system.

Immersion heaters are engineered with a hub and integrated O-ring and locknut so as to create a water tight joint when installed in the basin wall. Liquid proof and explosion resistant outlet boxes are furnished with all heaters.

BASIN HEATERS

Basin Heaters are for those installations that the cooling tower is operating throughout the winter.  During shut down periods it may be necessary to provide an immersion heater to protect the tower. 

These heaters are supplied with a hub that has a built-in O-ring and locknut to make a pressure tight joint through a hole in metal basin walls.   The heater is available for a “field installed” application only.

Liquid proof / Explosion-Resistant Outlet Boxes are furnished on all heaters.
